Africa United

Africa United: Tackling Ebola with football (and Idris Elba).

Made in 7 weeks with no budget, this campaign raised support for health workers by putting their names on the shirts of star footballers.

300 million earned impressions • 27 million views • CLIO Silver, PR • Cannes Lions Shortlist • PRWeek Global Campaign of the Year Finalist

Film 1 tackled the African public's mistrust of health workers.

Football stars told fans "I'm no hero" to inspire support for the true heroes.

The ad was given airtime during the Africa Cup of Nations, watched by 75M people.

Film 2, played in stadiums across Africa, starred Idris Elba as a coach giving an educational team talk on the tactics for beating Ebola.

"This is no ordinary game. This is life or death."
